Youtube a lady was making mats from plastic bags,

to allow people that are less futionate then I to have a place that was warmer to sleep on . 

she cut the bags into strips and then crocheted the 

strips together to create a mat large enough for the  person to lay on ..

It takes about 1000 bags to make the mat. 

I was floored and started to make my frist mat.
